The Mega Millions jackpot is already the sixth-largest in the game's history and could soon pass $700 million if there are no winners in Friday's drawing.
The jackpot sits at an estimated $687 million before the next drawing on Friday, with a cash option of $332.3 million. No one has won the Mega Millions since December 2023.
The largest jackpot ever won in the Mega Millions lottery was in August 2023, when a single ticket won the $1.602 billion prize out of Neptune Beach, Florida.
